What is included with Free?

Free includes unlimited local highlights and notes plus 3 PDF exports. Local information remains in the browser profile where it was created unless you remove it or enable an eligible synchronization feature.

What is Founding Lifetime Pro?

Founding Lifetime Pro costs US$5 as a one-time payment. It includes unlimited PDF exports, cloud sync, Web/iPhone Library access and experimental beta Raindrop sync.

Which Google account should I use?

Use the same Google account in the extension and Web/iPhone Library. Your account identity and Pro licence are shared across supported devices.

Why is the Web/iPhone Library locked?

Cloud sync and Web/iPhone Library access require an active Founding Lifetime Pro licence. Free users can continue using unlimited local highlights and notes in the extension.

Why are highlights missing from the web library?

1. Confirm that the extension and web library use the same Google account.
2. Confirm that the account shows Founding Lifetime Pro.
3. Run sync in the extension, then refresh the web library.
4. Check whether the missing highlight exists in the extension's local library.

Will closing Safari sign me out?

No. Closing a tab or Safari should not sign you out. A new Google sign-in may be required after you choose Sign out, the 30-day session expires, Safari website data is cleared, or the session is invalidated for security.

Can I edit a highlight?

The captured highlight text remains read-only because it helps the extension find and restore the passage on its source webpage. Notes can be edited in the web library. To replace incorrect highlighted text, delete that highlight and capture the correct passage again.

What happens when I sign out?

Signing out removes the account session from that device. It does not delete the synced cloud library. Sign in again with the same account to restore access.

What does “optimized for ChatGPT, Gmail and Reddit” mean?

Highlight Notes works on ordinary webpages, but some sites use highly dynamic interfaces that need special handling. On ChatGPT, Highlight Notes is designed to work with long conversations, generated answers and changing conversation content. On Gmail, it handles email conversation views and restores highlights against the underlying message content while keeping the extension controls out of the way. On Reddit, it understands posts, comments and thread structure so highlights can be restored in context and exports can produce a cleaner discussion rather than a generic webpage dump.

These optimizations do not give Highlight Notes special access to those services. They simply adapt how the extension finds, restores and exports content that you choose to save.

How do I export a page to PDF?

Open My Library in the browser extension and choose Open & Export beside the saved page. Highlight Notes opens the original page, restores the saved highlights it can locate and shows the Export panel on the right. When the page is ready, choose Export page, Export thread or Export conversation, depending on the website. A clean Export Preview opens in a new tab with your matched highlights included. Choose Save as PDF to create the PDF, or Copy all if you want the formatted content on your clipboard.

For long or dynamically loaded pages, wait until the page has visibly finished loading before exporting. ChatGPT conversations and Reddit threads may scan or scroll through loaded content so the export can capture the full structure. You can cancel an active export from the Export panel. Free accounts include 3 full exports; Founding Lifetime Pro includes unlimited exports.

What is Raindrop.io?

Raindrop.io is a bookmark manager for saving, organising and rediscovering webpages across devices. Highlight Notes offers an experimental one-way Raindrop sync for Founding Lifetime Pro. When enabled, Highlight Notes can send supported webpages and their highlights to your Raindrop account. It is currently a beta integration, so Highlight Notes should remain your primary library rather than treating Raindrop as the only backup.

How do I get the Raindrop API key/token?

Highlight Notes currently uses a personal Raindrop test token. Raindrop calls this a token rather than a normal API key. Sign in to Raindrop, open its App Management / integrations area, create or open an application and copy its Test token. Paste that token into the Raindrop test token field in Highlight Notes, then choose Test to confirm the connection and Save and sync when ready.

Do not paste your Raindrop password or an application Client Secret into Highlight Notes. Raindrop's official API documentation also explains how personal test tokens work: Raindrop authentication documentation.

Will Highlight Notes always use lifetime pricing?

The current Founding Lifetime Pro offer is intentionally an early supporter offer. We plan to move new Pro purchases to subscription pricing as the product matures and ongoing cloud services expand. We have not fixed the subscription price or transition date yet. If you purchase Founding Lifetime Pro under the current offer, the intention is that your existing lifetime entitlement remains lifetime access to the Pro features included with that offer; a future subscription would apply to new purchases rather than converting an existing lifetime purchase.

How do I request account-data help or deletion?
